About the PASA gathering & Dinner & Pub

I found it hard to mingle in a group of girls or group containing many girls.

It's hard to find the conversational common piece.
But what is worse is my deep fear of girls.

What?

Yes. Admit it. That's the only way to change.
I fear I would run out of things to say.
I fear I would be rejected.

Hey. You're trying too hard.

There are things should try hard, and things you should just relax and let it unfold.
I'm always tense, uptight, and serious. Or I try to be like that as much as I can.

That attitude might work for any productive human dynamics, but it wouldn't work very well for, say, socializing.

Make people feel relaxed. Learn to be uptight, but also learn to be relaxed. The transition between these two states must be followed naturally.

Relax but be confident. That's the way to get woman.

Physics conference from 9:30 to 10:45 at Rosza center
Attend 2 math classes (11:00 to 1:00)
Go for lunch (1:00 to 2:00). Free lunch at the conference.
Math349 (2:00 to 3:00)
Attend physics conference (4:00 to the whole day)
Dinner with PASA people
Attend one more physics conference (ends at 8 or 9)

-----------------
Comment:
Today's biggest commitment of mine is the physics conference.
This physics conference on Einsteins' discoveries is very significant in terms of his influence to the field of physics.
I want to learn what context he was in, what thought-transition he made, and significant heuristics in his method of research.
The knolwdge that he produced should be appreciated, but what matters more to me is to understand how that knowledge is manufactured. (based on information technology)

I shall discover all of that today.

Self Management

Improving myself is fun. Aside competitions, peer pressures, and other external factors, improving my life is genuinly fun.
In the end, I believe that that's all that matters.

Ask myself a question. Am I having fun improving myself? If it's not fun, that might be because of external factors.
Self Improvement must be self propelled. There are infinately many ways to improve myself in infinately many things.

Am I improving my health? Am I improving my knowledge? Am I improving my wisdom? Am I improving my genuinity? Am I improving the way I interact with others?

Fun should be synnonym to self-improvement.

Let's have some fun

Internet machine at The Great Canadian Bagel Calgary Downtown branch

There are two internet access machines at the Great Canadian Bagel.

I just setup the timecode options so that people can easily access the internet machine.

It costed me approx. 50 for vc/50 for mb/90 for cpu/35 for case=225+gst dollars
The capital investment commitment is pretty low, but the yield is proven to be high ($100 per month)
To increase its usage, I must offer more uses such as weather forcast, stock market, email, instant messaging service, and games that are capable of battlenet. The more things people can get out, the more demand will be. Thus I will devote my spare time during weekends to further development of the internet machines (IM in short) at the TGCB.

It will bring me constant source of income with minimal effort.

ME and girls.

I must set a default rule that I act by when it comes to interaction with girls.

1. If you know them, say hi no matter what the circumstances are.
2. Act confident and sometimes, be a sexist and thinking I can do anything they can do and I am better than them. Only don't tell them that, but act like that. In the end, it's just girls.
3. Speak soft and gentle. Let them think I'm such a sweet heart. Never hurry or be square jawed on them.

I abide by these rules from today.
All that comes to is only consistency.

For Phys301, I lost 2 marks.
For Phys341, I lost 2 marks.
For Math349, I lost 5 marks.

I project that I will get As or A+ for all the coruses I'm involved.
Thanks to collaboration with Dustin and Pasa people.

I have been successful because my strategy worked. The key to my strategy is a systematic note taking, and cross references. Therefore I shall continue reviewing and indexing my note. The notes that i'm taking have the highest priority to study above all, since It's personally from the professor.

I shall continue my success to my academic career.

Technological Potency

The rate of change is ever accelerating. This is especially true in human-technology civilization.
Technologies have been evolving so fast that only people who can react fast and sensative enough to the new changes will be more fitted. According to the Darwin's "Survival of the fittest", only the fittest individual in the given temporal-spatial location will be economically more successful.

The accelerating rate of technological growth will definately increase the gap between the riches and the poors. However the distinction between the riches and the poors are not determined prenatally, but rather choice of each individuals to learn and adapt. The most valuable commodity in the current society is the knowledge. Whoever can create a new knowledge will be economically awarded. The benefit of the new knowledge will spread accross the whole globe with a speed of the light. Creation of meaningful knowledge is only practical with aids of technology, due to the nature of our civilization based on technology.

Therefore the technological pontency is my number one priority and I will be fully commit to myself for my adaptation of to the continuing technological process. I will commit my money, time, and efforts.

Mistery of "-rl" sound unveiled

I finally have unveiled the mistery of the "-rl" sound. The secret is to expand the larynx so that there are more rooms in mouth to move my tongue. According to the "American Accent Training", a book+cds I ordered from the internet, English utilizes throat for speech generation. I have overlooked this fact until now. To utilize throat, I must expand my throat, not constricting it like Korean or other asian languages.

This finding for me is very significant since the most vocal unclarity is caused by my ambiguous "r", and "l" sound. The worst has been "r" and "l" sounds put together, such as "curl", "girl", "world", etc... From this findings from yesterday, I am now expanding my throat whenever I speak English. This speech synthesis technique is extensively used by many public speakers such as teachers, professors, and presenters. This is thought to be due to easiness of making loud sounds at minimal efforts. Kristine Baur, my Math 349 professor uses this technique.

Everything is getting better and so is my speech.
